It could be either the US or Panama.

Ernie. You are the man. It was the railroad built by the US in Panama, prior to the
digging of the canal, and it still exists. It is the shortest transcontinental railway, that's
for sure, but still one that crosses the American continents.

I travelled that railroad along with two mates having stay'ed to long in the bar at Cristobal while on the PSNC boat Cienfuegos, it cost us the fare and the usual - day and a day.
