Tony, I put this on the post where I'd asked for help getting photos' on a post (new boy) but didnt get a reply, so thought I'd try it on here. help!
Jeff.

Retired flyer Tony, I'd struggle to figure out how to open the hangar door now!

I've just tried uploading from photobucket, If I click on a photo it just enlarges it for editing etc. If I just go over the pic' with the icon the code box appears, o.k. so far. I highlighted the bottom one ( says img code ) clicked 'copy, then came back to the post on here, clicked paste into the box 'file name' then clicked 'add the file', then 'submit' nothing happens, though the 'add the file' and 'submit' boxes go red/black outline. What am I doing wrong Tony?

p.s. I tried it standing on my head, that did'nt work either, I just got dizzy, and wet myself!Jeff

Right! Jeff, here we go.
First up decide where the photo you want to post is, I keep all of my pictures in My Pictures if using XP, with Vista it is just Pictures… so now we know where our picture is.

Next open PhotoBucket, login then upload your picture using the old uploader, it’s there on the page somewhere.
Once the picture is uploaded you will see it in your PhotoBucket album with code beneath, ignore that code and double click on the photo which will then open again only larger. Move down that page and you will see the box with the codes, highlight the bottom code by clicking on it, once highlighted right-click on it then clip on copy.
Finally you go to your post, right click on it and click paste.

Jeff if you did download Image Resizer make sure your picture is sized Medium.

Have fun but for Gods sake don't go attacking your puter with a big hammer.

tonydw, it is now possible for members to upload pictures directly via a new button from freeforums. I have installed it on my site and it is nice and easy to use.
I can give you step by step instructions if you should decide you would like to use the same here if you like. :)

This thread will show you how easy it is to use and I can also post it here as a guide if you would like. :) http://www.rikscomputeremporium.com/how ... -t128.html (but with pictures from your own site rather than mine)

Hi Rik, I first of all want to thank you for the interest you have shown in the Sailors Home, God knows a 74 year old needs some advice from time to time.
In version 2 of Free Forums we did have an image-uploader but since being upgraded it seems to have vanished … We would appreciate any help or advice you can give re Uploading Images; I have just had a good look around in the ACP and enabled the image-uploader and it is now displayed on the tool bar above the posting/reply box, is that the one you were thinking of, if so how do we get to upload, do we need a webhost for our photos?

That's the one indeed. I wondered why I didn't spot it earlier. :)

I will have a tutorial ready in a few minutes. Where would you like it posted? :)
