A song has been bugging me for a few days now, it is a country and western type song and I do not recall the title of the song nor the singer, all I remember is the first line which is, - " America Heard The Bugle Call Today" - and it was very popular during the start of the American involvement in the Vietnam war, would be grateful for any suggestions. stan.

Hi Stan. It was called "Hello Vietnam" and recorded by C&W singer Johnny Wright.
