HI EVERY ONE MY NAME IS PETER WHARTON FROM LIVERPOOL,I STARTED GOING TO SEA WITH BLUE FUNNEL (DECK BOY)JAN 1963-JUNE 66 MY LAST SHIP WAS THE FRANCONIA 1968 A.B. CAME ASHORE WORKING FOR LAMPORT-HOLT. BOOTHS, AND BLUE STAR SHORE GANGS. FINISHED UP AS A BOATMAN M.D.H.C.

Welcome aboard Peter a good site here, you sound familiar, did you know the Sands, Shacka, Tommy and Ned they were boatmen.

Welcome aboard Peter a lot of my old palls where boatmen (gulls) mostly from the Wallasey Birkenhead side, alas most of them have gone to the big gigboat in the sky now. You must have plenty of storys to tell.
